ARTIST STATEMENT

I owned and operated commercial and portrait photography studios in Barcelona, Spain and Rome, Italy for several years. As a portrait photographer I was the official portrait photographer for the Spanish Royals, the Duke and Duchess of Cadiz and Salvador Dali. I confess my work is influenced by Caravaggio and Rembrandt and employ their use of light and shadows in my landscapes to achieve a dramatic image. I have shown at the Toledo Museum of Art and at the Louvre Museum as part of the Exposure Awards and recently won First Place in the Las Vegas 2016 International Juried Art Competition at the Red Room Art Gallery.
