Zen Drawing with Tess Mosko Scherer
In this calming, creativity-boosting workshop, participants will explore Neurographic drawing—also known as “Zen Drawing.” This intuitive art process is designed to help you slip quickly into a state of flow, where the mind settles and the hand moves freely.
Developed by Russian psychologist and creativity researcher Pavel Piskarev, Neurographic drawing (from neuro = brain, graphica = image) combines simple lines and organic shapes to gently quiet the nervous system. Many people find the practice reduces stress and anxiety, increases relaxation, and sparks unexpected artistic beauty.
The class includes a brief demonstration followed by hands-on drawing time, allowing participants to create their own richly layered, expressive piece. We’ll end with optional sharing and reflection.
