The 6th Annual Unspoken: Survivor Stories exhibition is a powerful platform for survivors of suicide loss and suicide attempts to share their journeys and raise awareness. Held during National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, this exhibition fosters connection, compassion, and healing.
Open to global participants, this non-juried show welcomes up to three original 2D or 3D artworks per artist, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital art, collage, and collaborative pieces. No entry fee.

In-Person Show:
The Mood Room, 3121 N 3rd Ave, Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ 85013
Virtual Show:
Hosted via the websites of Arizona Art Alliance, Arizona Artists Guild, and Your Art Your Story, and posted on social media.
ARTWORK GUIDELINES
This is a trauma-informed exhibit for all ages. We cannot accept artwork that depicts or glorifies violence, death, or harm.
In-Person Specifications:
- 3D Art: Must fit on a 16” pedestal; larger works installed by artist.
- 2D Art: Max 40″ on the longest side.
- No giclée prints
- Framing:
- No saw-tooth hangers
- Sturdy wire required, no more than ¼ down from the top
- Clean mats/glass
- Gallery-wrap canvases must be 1.25″+ deep, painted sides, no staples. Shallower canvases must be framed.
- Shipping Info: Out-of-state artists must arrange and pay for shipping both ways. Prior approval required for in-person inclusion.

-August 23, 2025 11:00-2:00 at Arizona Artists Guild (during the Veteran’s Art Class)
-August 28, 2025, 10–11 AM at the Mood Room.

- Opening Reception: September 5, 2025 | 5-8 PM
- Closing Reception & Pick-Up: September 27, 2025, 2–5 PM
(Reception 2–4 PM; Pick-up 4–5 PM)
HOW TO ENTER
- Submit up to three original artworks via azartalliance.com
- Provide: artist name, artwork title, medium, size, price (or NFS), contact info, social media, and website.
- Images must be cropped, under 5MB, max 6″ longest side
- Label files: LastName1, LastName2, LastName3
- No changes or resubmissions after entry
- Previously shown works in Unspoken are not eligible
SALES & RIGHTS
- Sales: The Mood Room retains a 30% commission
- Copyright: Artists retain all rights but grant permission for promotional use

The Dove Project:
Throughout the duration of the show, visitors, artists, and guests are invited to add their fingerprints to the dove in paint colors that represent the way they have been affected by suicide.
