Making Waves with Ann Osgood

Inspired by coastal landscapes, this class focuses on painting ocean waves. Participants will be guided through techniques that capture movement, light, and rhythm in water. Suitable for all skill levels. Reference images will be provided, and participants may bring their own ocean photos if desired.

Materials:
Canvas 16×20
Acrylic matte medium
Painter’s tape

Acrylic Paints:
(I use mostly Liquitex)
Ultramarine blue
Dioxine Purple
Titanium White
Pthalocyanine Green
Bright Aqua Green
Light Blue Violet
Brilliant Blue
Cadmium Orange Medium
Cadmium Yellow Pale
Magenta
Yellow Ochre

Brushes:
I use synthetic bristles for the most part.
Flats and/or Angular in various sizes:
#10, #8, #6 are my most used
Rounds and/or Long Rounds
#4, #2 are my most used
