Finding Meaning in the Margins – Blackout Poetry with Rachel Barlow
Blackout poetry begins with listening rather than inventing. By reducing everyday text—old mail, discarded pages, forgotten books—the mind relaxes into noticing what is already there. This simple act of selecting and releasing mirrors how the nervous system sorts experience: keeping what resonates, softening what doesn’t.
No writing experience is needed—only curiosity and permission to play. The process offers a grounding rhythm that can be returned to at home whenever life feels loud. An optional, gentle sharing will close the evening for those who wish.
