Creative Journey Art Workshops
Creative Journey Workshops focus on the process of making art in a quiet, mindful setting. This allows participants to be present in each moment, let go of expectations, embrace the freedom of expression, and coax out their inner artist.
Through a variety of projects participants learn how to approach art-making as a meditative practice in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. These workshops encourage creativity and mindfulness, grounding participants in the present moment to reduce stress and anxiety. Workshops are beginner friendly and all materials will be provided. No previous experience necessary.
The setting is an art studio in North Phoenix.
Who It’s For: Workshops are open to anyone experiencing loss, grief, isolation or have experienced trauma.
Neuroscience research shows that artmaking has a positive impact on improving physiological and psychological wellbeing. Art making is a recognized treatment for depression, anxiety, and stress, improving a sense of wellbeing, connection, and overall wellness. These classes are not a substitute for medical treatment or therapy.
