2025 AzAA Annual Veterans Art Exhibition

July 26, 2025

Eligibility: The exhibition is open to US Military Veterans who have participated in art classes at one or more of the following locations:
WHAM Art Association (Surprise) Arizona Artists Guild (Phoenix) , Mesa Art League (Aster Senior Center), Mountain Artists Guild (Prescott) and Sonoran Arts League. (Care Free)

Timeline:

  • Veterans exhibit installation Saturday, May 24, 2025 | 3 – 6 PM
  • Interactive Art Experience, Reception and Special Musical Event:
    Saturday, July 26, 2025 10:00 AM – 2 PM
    10:00-12:00 Art Experience
    12:00 lunch followed by the reception and special musical performance by the Mesa Art League Ukulele Band
  • Deinstallation: Sunday, July 26, 2:00 immediately following the close of the reception, Veterans can take their artwork home. Alternate pick up dates by prior arrangement.

Drop off:
Veterans can drop off at Arizona Artists Guild: Saturdays, April 26, and May 24, 2025 between 10 AM – 2 PM (during Veterans Art Class). other times by appointment*
Veterans participating in classes at WHAM, Sonoran Arts League, Mountain Artists Guild and Meas Art League that want to participate in the exhibition can drop off during their classes or make arrangements with their class coordinator/s for alternate dates.

Type of Artwork: Two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork including (but not limited to) painting, drawing, photography, digital art, collage and sculpture are exhibited in the show.

Each piece of art must include the following information:
Artist’s name as they would like it to appear on the label, Title of the Art Work, Medium, price if it is for sale, and NFS if it is not for sale, and the name of the Arts Organization/s you attend classes.

Preparation of Artwork: If your artwork is not framed, we will be happy to frame it for you, with prior arrangements. Contact Tess Mosko Scherer 928-300-7185 or info@AzArtAlliance.com .
If your artwork is framed, be sure it is wired on the back (no sawtooth hangers). We have a limited number of pedestals, so be sure to let us know if you need pedestals to present your work.

Interactive Art Experience, Reception, and Musical Performance: Join us in celebrating the talents of our veterans at a reception. The reception will follow the monthly art class at AAG. All are invited to attend the class, which begins at 10:00. Participants will create a scratch board drawing. All materials are included. No previous experience required. Lunch will be served at noon. Space in the class is limited, RSVP is required for the class and lunch. Email info@AzArtAlliance.com to reserve your space.

Join us for a special musical event. The Mesa Art League Veterans Ukulele Band will perform. Please come and support the band and our creative veterans.
