The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture seeks Phoenix-area artists who

have experience in public art and design and an interest in working with

children for a pilot project in an inner city school. The Urban Design

Curriculum Lab will begin in late August as an after-school pilot  project

focusing on public art and urban design. Artists will work as a team with

other artists, teachers, parents, and neighborhood residents to encourage

students to explore their neighborhood in order to learn how "places" are

formed in our society. Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Training and guidance will be provided throughout the project.  For the full

call to artists, visit Phoenix Calls to Artists. For more information or to

express your interest in the program, please contact Jocelyn Hanson,

Director of Arts Education, @ 602-495-0189 or

e-mail: jocelyn.hanson@phoenix.gov or see the full opportunity listing

online at http://www.phoenix.gov/arts/calltoa.html
